So the most important question here, does this hurt or help the Eagles in the short and long-term?
Good news, Eagles don't face him twice a year now.
Bad news, he's on a playoff contender.
Probably a negative overall.

Jerry went on the record stating that Parsons, along with a lot of other players, miss a lot of time with injuries. In a team sport where value has to be measured against performance, it is crazy to be paying a defensive player that kind of money. In the new NFL, with a 56-man roster, a guy making that much means you can't pay the next guy because you blew your budget. It is like driving a Corvette when you live in a trailer court.
I am happy MP is making that kind of money. But I don't know who won or lost between GB and Dallas. Perhaps GB is shooting the wad on 2025. And Dallas, with all of their problems, is playing a long game. (they probably aren't going to beat the Eagles, Bills of Chiefs anyway.)

I heard Loius Riddick last night talk about this trade like it is the dumbest move ever by the Cowboys. I'm not so sure about that. Getting two #1 draft picks and an all pro D lineman is a good return in my opinion.

Well, taking the personalities out of it, it is far more likely a QB can fulfil his contract than an edge rusher in terms of injuries. He's making a shocking amount of money for a DE.
True and given the shelf life of a DE that is why I don't think the trade is a horrible move for Dallas.

And Watson was suspended his first year and is out with an Achilles now. He may be washed up now.

And those should be top 15 picks if GB plays up to expectations. Maybe top ten. Or better.
Probably last 12 of the 1st rd picks though. This isn't fleecing Carolina or Cleveland. GB is a playoff team. Adding Parsons makes them stronger
Also, this isn't Howie drafting those picks either.

That's a ton of cash. I wonder how GB structured things to have cap room this year. It would appear that they are trying to win now. That's a big contract to absorb on defense. It definitely makes them a tougher contender in the NFC this year.
As for dem boys, Jerry has been playing the long game for ~30 years now. I saw a video recently with a reporter recounting an interview with Jerry. He asked him if there was a single team in any sport that would hire Jerry as a GM. He wound up getting up and leaving the interview in a huff. For the first time ever, Jerry was exposed and embarrassed. As a birds fan, I hope Jerry Jones is the Dallas GM forever. We lost Daniel Snyder. We cant lose Jerry Jones, too

Yep. There is a lot of anger that Jerry hot boxed parsons. Jerry got parsons into his office without his agent and strong armed him into a verbal agreement. When they went over to the agent to get the contract signed, the agent told Jerry to shove it. The agent wasn’t there for the negotiation. Parsons supported his agent over Jerry and that was the end of the cowboys relationship.
