Muchigan fires HC Moore for cause

I feel for the parents and the recruits. They aren't necessarily going to understand who is scUM and who are straight shooters.

All they had to do was a couple simple online searches.

Something one should do when making one of the most critical decisions of your entire life. Or you are advising someone making such a choice.

There were several different scandals involving the school and Moore himself. Was covered by media a lot. The only way to not know about it was to live on an island somewhere without the internet.

They knew. They didn’t care.

She’s going to make millions. She’ll sue Michigan and they’ll settle to avoid the PR diaster. She’ll say she wanted to keep the baby but Moore threatened her and this was all under the University working for a powerful man while others knew and did nothing. I read a guy who said “never have an affair with someone that has less to lose, or more to gain, than you.” Or, you can just keep it in your pants and stay loyal to your #1 gal/guy. He had everything to lose, and will. Her? She’ll do work with a consulting firm helping companies with the HR and insurance liabilities. Probably head some kind of victim’s group. Life ain’t fair!

The issue for her is she got a huge pay raise which common sense says it was related to her relationship with him.

Yep. More evidence he was trying to manipulate her. She was making less than $100k. He was making $10,000k. He was powerfully. She was powerless.

I don't. They committed to a group of coaches and a university that clearly cheated to win a NC a short time ago, and many of them if not all of them committed for $$$$. Almost all the coaches that were involved in the cheating were still at UM when these recruits were being recruited by UM and when they signed to play for them and signed their $$ contracts. The players and their parents clearly knew the character of most people they were dealing with, and if they didn't they were naive and should have gotten professional advice.

And now, with the current rules, each recruit can go through the process again and take new bids for their services.

I would feel sorry for any of their recruits that choose to stay at UM going forward, as that would show their lack of reasoning means....

it probably will even get worse. There is a strong chance she is or was pregnant and may have been coerced into ending a pregnancy. As of tonight, the A.D. is still in his role. There are also questions about how long UM may have knew about this, and how it was handled in the recent days, including the face-to-face separation discussion without an HR person present. They had been told he was in pretty bad mental shape.
 
Some more factual information has come out. There were meetings this summer between UM, the woman, and the coach. They denied everything at the time. On Wednesday morning, she went to a university of Michigan official with all of the evidence of their relationship, emails, texts, etc. The 911 call later in the day from her residence stated that Moore had been “stalking her for several months”. With so much of this being public, it will be interesting to see what type of damage control UM can do. Would assume they will want a non-disclosure agreement with a settlement. The other potential nightmare scenario I mentioned is still out there.
 
The university will claim it was a personal matter between two consenting adults until more recent information made it take action. "We did the right thing." Problem solved. A lesson in taking control of the narrative that PSU never seemed to grasp. And still doesn't.

They can’t do that. A boss cannot have a sexual relationship with a subordinate. The liability is far too great and that is written into every employment contract and HR guidelines in the country. When the company tries to get insurance against claims, no insurance company willl insure them unless they can demonstrate that they have a secure HR policy that includes zero tolerance for such. I worked for a company that fired a co-founder who was screwing somebody on his staff. He was EVP while the firing co-founder was CEO. The EVP went on a cruise with his GF and was fired when he returned to work.

I will say that this issue would have been pretty small to UM if Sharrone had been fired for this and went away quietly. The assault, abortion, lies and context of what has happened at UM since hiring Harbaugh is the real problem for the university. In and of itself, a coach screwing a gal on the side, is pretty common.

The AD has had zero institutional control. The NCAA & B1G must now investigate and punish the program. This guy acted like the ultimate DEI hire.

Agree but not the DEI part. He was hired because he did a good job when the HC was suspended but was part of that poisonous tree that the NCAA and BIG allowed to bear fruit

They need a new AD to completely clean house. Fire everybody and start over.

Clean out the AD department. Have meetings the coaching staff of every other sport and read the riot act. ‘Leave now if there is any dirt in your past because we will find it and fire you’.

Meet with donors, sponsors, boosters, alumni, lettermen and more. Tell them it will be a clean program or they will be banned and prosecuted if proper.

No more tsk tsk 💩 No more self suspensions for OOC patsy games. 😡😡😡
 
What would you think if a 19 year old female office job holder was at practice by the coache's side? Obviously, EVERYONE on that field knew that this was inappropriate.
Watching BTN there is no talk of investigation or penalties. Michigan has truly lived up to being SCUM and will skate without penalties.
