Muchigan fires HC Moore for cause

They need a new AD to completely clean house. Fire everybody and start over.

Clean out the AD department. Have meetings the coaching staff of every other sport and read the riot act. ‘Leave now if there is any dirt in your past because we will find it and fire you’.

Meet with donors, sponsors, boosters, alumni, lettermen and more. Tell them it will be a clean program or they will be banned and prosecuted if proper.

No more tsk tsk 💩 No more self suspensions for OOC patsy games. 😡😡😡
Self reflection has never been a Michigan trait. They figure, so what we got caught. No big deal because the league is afraid to step in.

What would you think if a 19 year old female office job holder was at practice by the coache's side? Obviously, EVERYONE on that field knew that this was inappropriate.
Watching BTN there is no talk of investigation or penalties. Michigan has truly lived up to being SCUM and will skate without penalties.
And so is BTN. And the B2G conference.

All SCUM.

And the NCAA is in bed with them.

They can’t do that. A boss cannot have a sexual relationship with a subordinate. The liability is far too great and that is written into every employment contract and HR guidelines in the country. When the company tries to get insurance against claims, no insurance company willl insure them unless they can demonstrate that they have a secure HR policy that includes zero tolerance for such. I worked for a company that fired a co-founder who was screwing somebody on his staff. He was EVP while the firing co-founder was CEO. The EVP went on a cruise with his GF and was fired when he returned to work.

I will say that this issue would have been pretty small to UM if Sharrone had been fired for this and went away quietly. The assault, abortion, lies and context of what has happened at UM since hiring Harbaugh is the real problem for the university. In and of itself, a coach screwing a gal on the side, is pretty common.
One other detail that came out in the past 24 hours is that in the past year he bumped her salary from $55,000 to 99,000, and gave her a new title for no reason. Also, there’s lots of crazy stories coming out now about his interest in only fans women. People can research that on their own.

Agree. The problem is this is all become about money in the big two drive income. As universities I think they are still trying to find their way in terms of balance between on field competition and off field revenue maximization. I get the sense they didn’t want to penalize Michigan Due to the financial impact and brand damage it would do. But what they’ve allowed is the normalization of a rogue administration doing whatever they needed to do to win football games and retain low quality staff. By low quality, I mean morally de crept.

I am hoping this event drives them into a new era and Michigan gets penalized commensurate with their out of control sports administration. However, I am not going to hold my breath.

Just saying that nuance, gaslighting, and other PR tricks can work wonders. Public mea culpas and self-flagellations do nothing but keep the issue in the headlines. There will be legal repercussions, of course, but the headlines will fade away and UM's reputation will maintain its good standing with the NCAA, Big10, and with the public at large.

Agreed. This head coaching hire will tell us a lot. There are a lot of people that are saying it has to come from outside the program. It cannot be from somebody who is or was in the program. One person on the consideration list is a former Harbaugh coordinator who is now with the Los Angeles, Rams, who still has a show cause penalty against Them. Hiring him would be a pure disaster in my opinion. jesse Minter. He has a one-year show cause for impermissible recruiting while at Michigan.

You should check her age again Mary, you missed by a decade.

My Facebook source. Mea culpa. I feel so bad for his wife and especially his 3 girls.
He feels convicted. Now I hope that he finds repentance and salvation. He has a whole in his soul that only Christ can fill.

Don't have time to link to my sources. But yesterday Rich Eisen said he received four calls within 90 minutes after Michigan lost to Ohio State about the affair. David Cone, a former Michigan quarterback, said that after Michigan lost to Oklahoma he received several calls within a couple of hours about the affair. Seems that a fair amount of Insiders we're looking for a reason to fire Moore.

Michigan knew about the affair since October, but came up empty in their investigation, reportedly. The main woman involved apparently had a change of heart a few weeks ago and came to Michigan with the receipts, regardless of football, with those hard facts, Michigan had no choice.

Reminds me of a situation I heard of a few years ago. A company had hired a chief security officer who got fired by the CIO because he was soliciting girls using his company computer. Three days later, the chief security officer walked into the CEOs office with evidence that the CIO had done the same thing. The chief security officer wanted nothing other than the CIO to be fired as well. The CEO got into his car drove to the data center and fired the CIO on the spot. Not two hours from the initial guy walking into his office. That’s the way it’s done and the way it has to be done.

So basically, don't lose to Ohio State and we'll forget any of this happened.

The question in my mind is how diligent was the investigation. I suspect there was strong circumstantial evidence of an affair which Michigan didn't want to find. For instance credit card and bank records could have been checked for gifts or transfers or many nights out together -- irrespective of the woman's denials.

Reports are they knew since summer when they were brought in for questions about it. Both denied it.

As Dailybuck said, gotta wonder how hard they looked into it. Supposedly there are lots of pics of the two them together.

Have to get access. Unless they were university issues they have no subpoena power

I'll bet they had University credit cards and University phones. Also, if they refuse to turn over their records, legally not much can be done to force the records to be turned over. However that would be a reason to amp up the investigation in other areas. There are many many digital traces of activity which could be searched. For instance, if Michigan was truly interested in finding out what happened, very hard and penetrating questions could be asked about the reasons for doubling of the woman's salary. In itself, if you are really suspicious of what was happening, if there was an egregious raise of salary, that in itself could be grounds for discipline. Also, you could ask neighbors about coming and goings late at night. And on and on.
