Next coaching candidates

Hartline is the one candidate that I would not support. He's a 2x DUI offender with injuries caused. Julian Fleming was his #1 WR recruit a few years ago, played 3 years for him, and now will go to prison for killing his girlfriend on an ATV with a DUI EXACTLY as his recruiter and position coach modeled for him. Except Julian doesn't have the Ohio St athletic department to cover for him like Hartline did. If Hartline were hired, I would not attend or watch a PSU game until he is gone.
I am only aware of one time and he was NOT charged for DUI even after admitting to having a few pops and getting on an ATV (not car). Let me know if you have other information. And you really think Fleming thought it was okay to drink and drive because his positional coach did it? Come on man. Julian Fleming is a man. And Julian was a five star athlete, everyone in the country recruited him. The positive? He passed over Julian because everyone in the country was wrong, and unlike Franklin, Hartline is not loyal. The best will play.

Multiple Kentucky outlets are reporting that Brian Hartline was in Kentucky last night meeting with UK officials about the open job. On a positive note today the odds increased greatly of Hartline being the next coach for Penn State.
They already hired Will Stein over 24 hours ago (likely longer). Their is no opening at Kentucky.

There were lots of articles about it at the time. Much of that has been white washed from the internet. Someone has worked hard to clean up his public image. But he did drink and drive 2X with accidents that became public knowledge. https://cheeseheadtv.com/nfl/dolphins-wr-brian-hartlines-truck-abandoned-at-scene-of-accident

Further, Hartline wrecked an ATV while drinking and put himself in a hospital. Ohio St athletic department fixed it for him. A few years later, a player he recruited that played directly for him for 3 years wrecked an ATV while drinking, killing his girlfriend, and now will serve jail time. It may be uncomfortable to tell the truth. But Hartline directly modeled behavior that was EXACTLY followed by one of his players that killed an innocent young woman and ruined his players life.

PSU is getting savaged on the interwebs! We are suddenly the predator program poaching the little guys but not as deadly as LSU.

It’s appears we’re down to two former Penn Staters for the open head coaching position: Terry Smith and Chad Powers.
Who do you have as your favorite? Personally, I don’t think we can go wrong with either one.
I would go with Terry as Chad Powers has gone Hollywood. 😜

Athletic director Patrick Kraft's search hit a snag when top target BYU's Kalani Sitake decided to stay in Provo on a lucrative new deal. Meanwhile, Franklin joined Virginia Tech on November 17 and quickly flipped several Penn State recruits, including four-star wideout Davion Brown and offensive lineman Benjamin Eziuka, dropping Penn State's 2026 class to No. 129 nationally with just five commits. Names like Jeff Brohm and Brian Hartline circulate, but internal issues and a ticking clock leave the program vulnerable heading into the December 3-5 period.<<

Dig it: "Hit a snag." No shite. And in other news, reports have arrived that the Titanic hit a snag that has somewhat delayed its arrival in New York.

A snag sinking with the anchor. Cement Jeans for sure .

Many of the coaches we reportedly targeted are at their Alma Mater. Our current HC is at his. It seems to me the answer is right in front of Kraft. I am fully aware there are risks with Terry, but there are huge risks to go on snd on with this situation. If no one else signs tonight or before tomorrow evening, for goodness sake sign Terry. Kraft better hope Terry is still willing to take the job.
