Next coaching candidates

The coaching search should be incredibly easy then since every fan knows exactly what Franklin was doing wrong. These outlines are priceless! Just about any mouth breather with a pulse should be able to (let me make sure I have the basics down)
  • 1. Have a basic understanding of the talent required, but from the perspective of the 60's
  • 2. Teach blocking, tackling and hitting... again, as if it's 1960
  • 3. Train players not to bend OR break- consequences for every failure.
  • 4. Preach that players, coaches, brains and learning are expendable commodities- keeps it edgy AF!
  • 5. FULLY want championships instead of semi wanting them. This might require a Morale Corps or some kind of secret team attitude police. Seriously, you've cracked the code here!
Occam's Razor. Most of the time, the simplest and most obvious provide the answers. Blocking, tackling, execution. Who wooda thought?

Overthinking? Maybe the two coordinators are also guilty.

Two points stood out to me from the Professor:
- Embrace failure. I believe Franklin was fixated on his QBs not throwing interceptions and had a profound mental affect on Allar.

- Too many voices. Causes mixed messages and hurts focus. Poorman said Allar was often having to hear from O'Brien, Franklin, McSorley, Kotelnicki, and an advisor. If he's hearing conflicting info and differing priorities, focus can go astray.

Down 30-3 at the half. At this rate, bet the house on Oklahoma today. Any coach mentioned for the PSU job is losing somewhere along the way.

Maybe take the Chesney vs. Golesh winner today?
Harvard Crimson is undefeated. Who's their coach?

Anyone else starting to get worried about the recruiting class which no longer exists and the time line dragging on to the point of being able to do very little about it?

Anyone else?
With a guy like Chesney, he'll need GM help with getting a few decent high schoolers his first year and will depend 60% on portal newcomers, mostly from places other than JMU. If a seasoned DI coach who has a system to get high schoolers interested, he should be able to hold together 50% of the recruits and bring in maybe ten portal players.
If a famous DI coach, maybe a top 15 recruiting class and a bunch of talented portal guys.
