Next coaching candidates

If Terry was the man, it would have been announced yesterday. IMHO, decision has been made and will be announced after the last game played by the new coaches team.
PS Props to the AD at JMU. He picks winners
Terry has a job for life if he wants it.

Yep. Isn’t Terry. And he and the team knew it which is why they were flat yesterday.

And note that there were no post game ‘Hire this guy’ comments or signs by players or letterman.

Kinda disappointed in Terry going for the fourth down, you kick the field goal there ,and force Rutgers to score a touchdown to tie. It was no comparison to Indiana game, with them winning with the game with a touchdown. Coaches in general are stupid, I didn't listen to Steve and Jack but I'm sure they agreed with me.
Why make the game come down to one play, when you could have forced Rutgers to make many plays just to tie, just common sense. It worked but was a high risk play call.

I thought about that at the time. Choice one is to go for the field goal, then kickoff to Rutgers. Choice two was to go for a 1st down. If you make it, then you win the game. If you don't, Rutgers is pinned back 20 yds further than if they take a kickoff and use the fair catch and come out to the 25. Rutgers couldn't tie the game with a field goal. I don't think it was a bad call.

Difference being a touchdown wins the game, but Rutgers will have to make many plays to just tie if they kick the field goal

Not making a late game 1st down caused losses. Can't fault him for more relying on Knowles. Knowles is an expert at losing from ahead.

Terry said at his presser afterwards that regrets from decisions at the end of the Indiana game still lingered.

Agree it was the right call. Field position plus the idea to win the game with your best group, the offense.

An interesting candidate would Jon Gruden. Saw a YouTube short of him talking about the quarterbacks he developed, like ty detmer Brad Johnson and Rich Gannon. He could be a great pick in the matt Patricia mold. With his background, I realize that it is virtually impossible. But the guy can coach, particularly at a position where Penn State for a long time has needed help.

I disagree, go for the sure win, nothing to lose, couldn’t stop Rutgers all game.
