Interview with Gary Danielson, who will be calling the game

His #1 point required for thisvteam: Confidence. This will be a huge deciding factor in big games. Can the players have confidence to execute in the pressure situations? Will the coaching staff have confidence in their play calling at critical junctures in those same games?

I agree. PSU has played games in order to surprise teams like tOSU and Oregon. This year, we go in and play our game. Let them adjust to us.

I feel like there was a bit of panic in the B1G championship game and in the second half of the ND game. The team needs to know that they can win tight games against the best competition by playing hard within themselves.

Sound like Franklin has set expectations for Coleman to play up to 30 plays vs Nevada, but not start.

The only thing Coleman lacks is live reps at the college level. I'd say with rotations, all of our DEs end up around 30 snaps against Nevada. Everybody needs live evaluation save for DDS.

My key point is that Coleman should see his role increase as the season goes. He just has to get out there.

The only issue with getting all the DE's 30 snaps on Saturday is that the PSU defense will force mostly 3 and out's and there won't be the normal amount of snaps on defense that there would normally be with a quality opponent..... So the math likely won't work vs Nevada.....

Apparently Fisher wasn't seen on the practice field this last open session. He may still be working through his recovery a bit. Coleman is likely to get his snaps.
