Sayin is maybe too green. In any event, there will be more and more parity in CFB. Even the Big2 Conference will have difficulty protecting its two big programs.
The Miami QB was great. He just took what was given. He is very experienced at big games with his time at GA. Also, they ran the same gameplan as Indiana. Run and short passes in the flat. YAC.He sure looks like a high school player when you see his face in his helmet, but he sure throws like a seasoned future NFL QB.
Other than he doesn't throw the ball away when he has a chance. He should be throwing it at the feet of his targets he's looking at over the middle when he feels the pressure. He could have avoided a couple of sacks in this game.
Oregon CB true freshman Finney, committed to PSU until signing day for the 2025 class, with a pick to start off the 2nd quarter.
Freshman CB Finney is going to be the playoff quarterfinal game MVP. 2 picks and a fumble recovery with game in the 4th quarter.
I honestly didn't realize he had originally committed to Penn State. I'm guessing he's glad he switched to Oregon. He's played a great game.
Tech has shown absolutely nothing on offense today. Oregon has made some mistakes but hasn't really been threatened.
These teams with time off have been underperforming.
Best case scenario is to play a JMU in the first round
Agreed. It's mindboggling. Two years now and the teams with 1st-round byes are currently 0-6.
I also think these CCGs are ridiculous on so many grounds now. Certainly didn't help Ohio State to play in one this year.
By the way, that TD by Oregon in the final seconds was chickenshit. No need for them to score there except to rub Tech's nose in it.

The format is likely to change. They have to see that the conference championship games put teams at a disadvantage, as does the layoff. If it were 2 weeks off total, it would be a benefit like in the NFL. When it is a month, the reward is playing a playoff team that already shook their rust off the week prior.Agreed. That can work in a smaller playoff. 8 teams. 4 major conferences. Go. But in 12 team or more it doesn't work.CCGs need to be part of first round.
Allows a Duke to be in despite overall record.

Does every power 4 conference deserve at least 2 teams? This year there is 1 from the ACC and 1 from the Big12.It works just fine.
Four championship games feed into four first round games.
Same exact number of teams as we have now.
People would care about the CCG as well. Win win.
