Bill O'Reilly and Victor Davis Hanson are both making some version of this point...that the problem is collateral damage to and guilt by association for those who did nothing wrong but whose names may innocently pop up in the "files."
I get that, but the problem is that people like Kash Patel and Dan Bongino...and yes, Trump himself...made a lot of promises and lurid accusations when they were not in charge. And now that they are in charge, it's suddenly: nothing to see here...move along.
People don't like to have their intelligence insulted...and honestly, that's what this sudden reversal from Trump and his subordinates is doing...

In a general sense, he is always had the same policies towards tariffs. He has been talking about them since the 1980s. They are very complicated subject that Trump tries to simplify too much and uses a heavy hand. On the other hand, they are politically popular.

I don't agree that we are be taken advantage. Wimp, crybaby Trump doesn't understand that if we pay a foreign company for product, we receive the product. Nothing unfair about that. What Trump is doing is taking away choice from consumers. It seems MAGA does not care anymore about the free market.
I think we need more gubmint spending on NASA. You know, the multiplier effect.
Let's use Canada as an example. I really want them to be our biggest ally but that doesn't mean we should allow ourselves to be taken advantage of. The USA spends 3.4% of GDP on defense. Canada spends less than 1.4%. That's totally B.S. Why should we even defend them? Same with tariffs. Why should we pay the most? I don’t like some of Trump's tactics but I also don't like buying friends. I think the only way to reset some things is by playing hardball.
The multiplier effect works better with more middle-class jobs. NASA probably has more higher paying jobs. NASA robs the private sector of needed engineers and scientists.

Your typical Trumper WANTS as many names as possible, and it doesn't matter if they did anything wrong. It's the Trump supporter way - smear, and then smear some more. It's the basis of MAGA - insult, accuse, attack ... it doesn't matter if there's truth. If you schoolyard bully them enough, since they're adults and don't know how to respond to that kind of behavior, or don't want to respond to that behavior, they'll cower or walk away. No one believes a Trumper actually cares about Epstein's victims, or his compatriots in crime ... after all, their leader is a proven sexual deviant/predator. Trumpers only want names to toss around for political gain.
You've seen this since Epstein became a thing in the news. He died ... must have been the Dems (even though a Rep was in charge). Every time a name was thrown out as a possible visitor, if it was a Dem/liberal/non-Trumper, the Trumpers ran with the name as an Epstein island pedo, regardless of whether the original allegation was ever proven, and if the original allegation even mentioned something specific about impropriety. Hell, there were some names that popped up that didn't even seem to have any basis for even being mentioned, but as soon as a Trump mentioned the name, everyone assumed it was OK to smear them as an Epstein pedo.
