Two blockbuster summer movies to avoid

Haha! I can imagine. In fact, I'm almost tempted to take his twisted butt off Ignore to enjoy the spectacle. On second thought...naaaah.

You know the funniest thing of all? The dude thinks I'm passing along his rants to Matt. Like Matt could actually give a fig about what some ranting nobody loser on the Internet thinks about him...or anything.

That's not the funniest thing. The funniest thing is that he, PeePee the multiple bans disbarred Whale shark of the small mind, thinks of himself as intelligent.

That's the funniest thing.

Peepee is totally disconnected from reality.

The entirety of your rhetoric is based on your belief that the Dems are demons, and will destroy western civilization, if not the world. You say all sorts of over the top nonsense about Dems, libs, and anyone who doesn't agree with you, fundamentally. Fire and brimstone, end of days nonsense.

You were a lifelong government employee who wants to overthrow the government and institute a theocracy in its place, ridding the nation of half the people in the process. That's how extreme you are.

The only lies being told here are by you, with regard to your beliefs and your son's beliefs ... and that you were going to leave the board and never come back. And then you came back.
Jerry is correct, if the Democratic Party does regain control it will lead to the fall of Western Civilization sending the world into a new dark age.

Apparently you don't realize, or don't care, that Matt Walsh actually has advocated for most of those things.

Don't be one of those biased mods/admins like Hotshoe.

Matt Walsh is a public figure. He's open to insult and criticism. But this is even factually based. You have folks on this board always insulting politicians, actors, etc. calling them the worst of the worst ... yet we're going to insulate Matt Walsh from VALID criticism? Matt Walsh is a legitimately bad human being. He makes a living off hate, and has advocated for the exploitation of children ... repeatedly. He has stated that he's not sure he'd turn in a son who was a molester (and later had to apologize for these comments, but we know that's what he actually thought).

You have folks in this thread following me around insulting me (calling me a ******, with nothing more), and they go from thread to thread doing the same ... but I'm not running around to cry about it.

This is what these people do. They insult, they harass, they name-call ... but if you do the same, they run to daddy to try to get you punished.

We know Jerry is one of the worst at this (it's his abusive nature) ... he's one of the biggest tattle tales, but also the worst offender at over-the-top demonization (hell, he's said the Dems are so evil, there needs to be a holy war to get rid of them).

And if daddy is incredibly biased, as you have openly admitted you are in this situation (you apparently like the wannabe child molester, and don't believe those beliefs should be mocked), you won't adjudicate fairly.

Change the board name to "Free For Far Right Extremists Only."
A Matt Walsh "classic":

Adolescence: A modern plague, but there is a cure

In modern Western society, we’ve delayed the onset of adulthood, instead inventing a new sort of human: the “teenager.” The teenager exists in this limbo which we’ve created; we call it “adolescence.” Adolescence is a state-of-the-art modern innovation, like crack-cocaine or chemical warfare.

For thousands of years, 13 year olds were expected to act like they’re 23, and those expectations were met. So, yes, adolescence can last until 25. It can last until 55. It can follow you right into your casket. We created it, and we can abolish it. And we can do that simply by expecting more out of people.

Here he is, commenting about the benefits of impregnating those who are most fertile (16 years, and surrounding ages, so even younger than 16 would be OK), and that teenage pregnancy isn't the problem ... it's unwed teenage pregnancy ... so knock up those 13 year olds, but marry them, first.

Here he is, saying he'd cover for his son, if he was a child molester (in reference to a 14-year-old Josh Duggar having been found to have molested prepubescent girls):

3) I know I’m opening myself up to serious criticism here, but let me be honest with you: If my own son, God forbid, came to me and admitted to doing what Josh Duggar did, I don’t know that I’d immediately run to the cops.

Would you? Is it really that simple? The decision to have your child arrested as a sex offender would be an automatic thing for you? Really?

I guess I’m just a horrible person then.

. . .

As a parent, you have to think whether your 14 year old son deserves to have his life ruined over his mistakes. Maybe you’d decide that he does. I can’t say I’d agree.

Any psychologist/psychiatrist worth his or her salt would agree with my diagnoses, that Matt is the product of abuse. And I have the added benefit of being able to see those behavioral patterns openly portrayed by Jerry on these boards.
I don't care that much what Matt Walsh says/doesn't say. I support his right to say it. My main familiarity with him is from his visit to Iowa City, which practically shut down the University. I find it ridiculous when college kids can't allow someone with a different viewpoint on campus. I deleted your post because someone found it inflammatory, and it looked like it was false or misleading to me based on what little I know about Matt Walsh. Not because I'm some staunch conservative. Make no mistake, I will admit to being somewhat right-leaning on moral issues. But that's not at play here. By the way, I'm not a government actor, so whether he's a public figure or not is immaterial. Accusing someone of pedophilia will probably get your post deleted by me if someone complains or I happen to see it myself.

Thanks, that's a balanced and reasonable view...correct right down the line, in my view.

You know, there was a time when principles of tolerance and free speech were signature causes of what is loosely called the Left. There was a time when college campuses were places where debate was encouraged and open minds were welcome.

No more.

What we've seen in the past several years is a rapidly accelerating movement within academia, liberal culture, and the Democratic Party toward tactics of censorship, intimidation, and violence. Opposing opinions are no longer discussed or debated. Rather, they are shouted down and those holding them are smeared.

Matt's experienced this first-hand and not only on college campuses and other venues where he's spoken. In fact, the company provides him and his family 24/7 security due to a continuing wave of death threats from wackjobs and rabid partisans with minds poisoned by hate. Not long ago one of these people threatened to burn down his home with his wife and kids in it.

Yet he hasn't backed down and won't. In fact, being the target of unhinged hate has hardened his resolve and reinforced in his mind the conviction that he's on the right side and is fighting battles that must be fought. He's won some of those battles but I've told him not to make the mistake of thinking the war is over. It's not...and I see no prospect for it ending in the foreseeable future.

Matt is so brave to lie, spew hate, and advocate enslaving women and turning 13 year olds from children into married-off baby-maker. All to make a buck. Selling your soul for a dollar and trying to destroy the lives of others shouldn't be met with resistance.

Thanks for sharing his plight. He's a true victim.

So, you support Matt's right to "say it," but not my right to "say it."

That makes sense.

Got it.

Silly me, sitting here concerned biased moderating was at play, when I could have just asked and had it confirmed it was.

It’s funny how this thread started out as Jerry complaining about a mindless Jurassic Park movie he saw with grandkids having the world’s top actor (a female) as main role and ballooned into a self promotion for Matt Walsh.

Knicks, the record will show that it was not I who brought Matt up. I responded to somebody else who brought Matt up, and all of this triggered your buddy, the board's resident wackjob, who spazzed out on the subject and ended up having a post or two deleted, which in turn led to one of his trademark meltdowns.

In fact, if you take a look at the progression of the thread, you see that one guy polluted and slimed it, not only with unhinged attacks on Matt and me but with gratuitous unrelated insults directed at a variety of others. The dude's bile is compulsive. He can't help himself. And that's a tell-tale clinical symptom.

Now all this said, I have zero problem with your own posts in the thread. They were civil and reasonable. I still disagree with you and that's OK. My OP was meant to be humorous in part but also serious in that as a guy who only rarely goes to the movies...except for Am I Racist, a wonderful and record-breaking documentary that I saw numerous times in theaters...oh wait, there I go promoting again...sorry.

But where was I? Oh yes, as a guy who rarely goes to the movies, I was truly struck by the pervasive DEI angles of the casting and plot. I mean, it got downright comical and yet there was clearly a method to the madness.

It’s all about the dollars Jerry especially in Hollywood. They know what sells

It's not all about the dollars in Hollywood.
Correct. Doubling down on stupid is their thing. The same goes for their shareholders.

Agreed.

It's only secondarily about money now. The first consideration is the advancement of the "correct" cultural narratives and being aligned with the fashionable set on the "right side" of political and ideological issues.

Just like news media used to be firstly about, well, news but now it's narratives first and news second.

Or academia used to be firstly about education but not it's narratives first and education second.

Let the record show that you brought up your Satan's spawn's movie BEFORE you mentioned either of the alleged blockbuster movies to avoid.

So, stop being a disingenuous passive aggressive weasel. God doesn't like that.

There's nothing unhinged about pointing out a man's own words. Unless those words, themselves, were unhinged. Yes, I would agree that Matt is unhinged ... for profit.

Yes, tell us again how women should be barefoot and pregnant. It's at the core of everything you believe. Remember when you told us that they're too special and precious to do anything but cook dinner and clean the house? And that you're actually showing them a special kind of love by forcing them to assume that role?

LOL. Losing it...

Kirk and Mike didn’t like Superman. I haven’t seen it yet. Mike says Superman gets the crap kicked out of him.
I wouldn't drink water if Mike told me to. But I do like Kirk. Superman was filmed in CLE and is getting a lot of mixed reviews. I've never been a fan of this kind of Marvel movie, so would take a pass no matter what.

I did really enjoy Formula 1 with Brad Pitt. It was kind of like Top Gun: Maverick joins the race car circuit. One of those movies that needs the big screen and sound of IMAX. Shockingly, no gay sex. I had to get used to seeing a recent movie without gay sex after watching mostly Netflix and HULU.
