Week 5: #6 Oregon at #3 Penn State (Tonight 7:30 PM EDT, NBC, Peacock) Game Day Thread

We're not going to win this without WRs. I don't know if they can't get open...or Drew can't find them...but unless we get some downfield passing game going, we lose.

Two weeks off to focus and prepare for a huge home game, while Oregon beat their in-state rival last weekend. Pretty disappointing performance thus far - PSU is lucky to be tied with the earlier missed OR FG.

Crucial drive coming up.

Can our 5-star QB in his 3rd year as a starter make a downfield throw? Will Andy even ask him to try?

Blackledge just said it clear as a bell: they're stacking against the run and forcing Drew and the receivers to make some plays...or not.

So far: not.

Halftime analysis: pathetic performance on O. I'm sorry. There's no other word for it. The Ducks are loading up to take away the run because they have no fear of our passing game. And why would they...

Rough first half on offense. Oregon is much improved over last year up front. Need to sit Singleton in the second half, or only use him for blocking or receiving out of the backfield.

They don’t have to load up, their DLine is stuffing the run game.
