Week 6: #7 Penn State at UCLA (3:30 PM, CBS) Game Thread

Not sure why they insist on starting Nick. At least they have been playing to his strength and running him outside. Kaytron looking good.

I am a casual fan and I knew Singleton sucked early last season.

Can't imagine how the coaches can't see his issues watching his runs over and over.

Ball possession is all the defense UCLA needs. Play for pay is a DISASTER for us. Millions spent to keep these guys.
Yep, the smarter coaches spend their NIL on better high school players and they have better players to replace those that leave and reload every year. Franklin falls in love with some players and spends PSU NIL on keeping them even though they don't have the poise and talent to win big games.....

Yep, Allar is his own toughest critic. If he would learn from his mistakes and then make better decisions he wouldn't have to spend so much time criticizing himself.....

No pass rush. I started to watch a Dallas Cowboys show on Netflix this a.m. Then they started going on about Jimmy Johnson and Michael Irvin. So I watched highlights of the '87 Fiesta Bowl instead. Even rushing 3 most of the time we were constantly pressuring the QB, then it seemed like there were 12 in coverage. We're not rushing the passer nor covering anyone.

Wow.

UCLA believes now. Nico has all the confidence in the world. Our D looks terrible.

24-7. Unless something changes in the flow of this game, we're looking at a disastrous loss...and maybe the beginning of the end for Franklin.

I knew this would be a tough game, no matter what happened vs. Oregon. This is ridiculous. 24-7. Funny - before the game I was looking at my phone without glasses and thought I saw 64-31 UCLA. It was 0-4 vs 3-1. We'll win this. But it's going to be tough sledding for a while.

You know, at this point we need to say screw it...throw the ball, Drew...lay it on the line.

Horrible call, that QB draw. Exactly what we don't want or need now.
