Why not Terry

If Terry, then all the alums, donors, and letterman will rally. It'll be a beautiful thing. Meanwhile, VT will go on to lose those Franklinesque heartbreakers to the likes of Wake Forest, NC State, and Pitt.

Dan Patrick, his sources say they will keep Terry as interim coach until next year, then find someone better. What a joke that would be if true. He would lose all the current players.

Then all players portalled in will be mercenaries and any Penn State culture that is left will be destroyed. The good news is that my sources say that Patrick's sources haven't thoroughly worked through their clickbait story.

"A college football coach is responsible for recruiting and training student-athletes, developing game strategies, managing the team's budget, and overseeing the coaching staff. They also serve as the public face of the program, promoting it within the university and the community."

It's not complex. There is no shifting demand, no new product substitutes, no supply chain bottlenecks. Football rules and consumer (i.e. fan) expectations are pretty stable. So why a Drinkwitz, Campbell, Sitake and not a Terry Smith presents the real complexity.

I read that maybe Rice also. Wherever he lands other than at PSU, I hope that they don't discover that he's just a coordinator until after he's well into the job.

If Rice, then a great institution. And the neighborhoods of Rice Village and West University are very trendy places within H-town proper. Just remember to buy flood insurance.👍
