2025/26 Transfer Portal & Roster Changes Thread

Will fans continue to care if that persists? Players are having less association with the schools for which they play. They seem more committed to their agents.
I can only speak for myself but my caring is fast diminishing. I've had tickets for 25+ years now. My current CS agreement is ending after the 2026 season. I'm really thinking that 26 will be the end.

1. Maybe the GM under valued him.
2. Maybe this is to determ8ne what he is worth.
3. Nothing says that the Lions can't top his gest offer.
4. Maybe he was told that Brecht will start get more $.
5. Neither Clifford or Allar could lead this team to beat top teams. Grunk is the closest I have seen since Trace. IMHO, losing Grunk would cripple team morale. It would be an unforgivable error.
We all need to accept that this is just business in today's world. Personally, I'm not worried. I trust what Matt Campbell is doing until he proves otherwise.

With Reynolds and Shanahan in the portal it seems very likely that the TE from ISU comes to PSU and likely one or two Olinemen as well. But early in his career at PSU Onoh was getting praise. Still lots of olinemen still on the roster as well.

Hate to lose Reynolds, but Rappleyea is TE #1 whether he says or goes. The ISU TE Brahmer is 6'7", 255 and is rated as a .94 transfer by 247. Maybe Reynolds was told that Brahmer is coming and expect competition.

Benjamin Brahmer, tight end

Brahmer, a junior tight end, came back from injury this year to record a team-high 37 catches for 446 yards and a team-high six touchdowns.
He announced his entrance into the portal Dec. 24.

Also note that there were 3 TE's in the 2025 PSU class and it's possible that a couple of them stay. Olesh was the top rated of the 3, especially as a receiver, so we'll see where that goes.

Yeah I think we're good. People are overreacting because we're not used to this type of movement.

Reynolds has more upside as a receiver but Brahmer is a much better blocker and catches the ball fine as this points out

So, some bad news, particularly Grunk. But going into the portal doesn't mean that player can't return. But then again Grunk may just not want to be at PSU. Every player has his own set of priorities.

There is also some big positives in this evenings announcements.

Rojas coming back really solidifies the LB room if Campbell returns along with Tatsch given that an experienced portal LB is almost also a certainty.

Granville is the most talented DE on the roster, and likely would have been a bigger star at DE in 2025 than DDS had he not been injured. With DDS gone and Harvey Gone, Granville returning is very big as he has Carter potential and is a player to build the pass rush around.

Howard was about the only somewhat proven talent in the WR room potentially returning so his return is also big. At least one returning WR with some proven talent and play making ability to add to.

And Collins has played well in his two seasons at PSU. A very physical corner and an experienced redshirt senior CB to stabilize a CB room of mainly young players if Dixon, Joseph and Woseley return. Along with Tracy, a senior next season, who would lock down the nickel back job.

They'll be some more losses, but just keep the good news coming!!!!

Maybe we should go after the WR from Rugerts that had a huge day against us

It’s a new era, it’s a business on both ends now. I certainly wish he was staying but I don’t think team morale depends on Grunk staying. I’m more worried about the overall makeup of the qb room. We will probably get Brecht, but who will back him up? A couple of freshmen?

Just saw Dixson is returning! (edited to add the s)

King Mack in the portal.

Would be great to keep Toure to pair with Lane who said he's returning...... and then some help from the portal.

And what's Belgrave-shorter going to do...........
