I still don't see the fit between Huhn's style and Kotelnicki's/Franklin's offensive schemes. To me, a glaring example of the Franklin approach to football, which is a primary reason for his big game performances and his eventual moving on from PSU. He no doubt absorbed nothing from what he saw in the styles of both Oregon and UCLA QBs.

Time to get this thread back in play. Coach Campbell seems to be hitting the ground running and there are some new premium articles on particular 2027 recruits both in Campbells former recruiting area from ISU and from PSU's traditional recruiting region that seem to be pretty interested in coming to play in front of 110k fans and play for a coach that is all about winning.
So to get back to it here, take a look at the offers that Campbell has out for the 2027 class. Not the lengthy list that we have seen from the past, but a start!!
247 has an article on DL Luke Starcevic from ND, No 153 overall, that is giving serious consideration to following Coach Campbell across the country to the best fans in college football!!

Campbell may make some comments on recruiting responsibilities once his staff is more filled out. But I expect Terry Smith to have BIG responsibility for recruiting in a 200 mile radius around State College. Terry's a fantastic recruiter and was Defensive Recruiting Coordinator under Franklin as well as Associate Head Coach and CB coach. I could see Terry being named Associate Head Coach and Team Recruiting Coordinator. We know that Terry was very successfull in locking down the WPIAL and went coast to coast for the CB talent that has made PSU a pipeline for CB's to the NFL which is was never in the past by going down south (FL, GA,...) and to California for Dixon. Terry seems to relate to today's teens and early 20's players and between him and Campbell (and a nice large NIL $$ pool) I'm expecting big things.
But I'd like to see Campell go out and get Barnes back. Pay the man. He's been an excellent DL coach, great letterman ambasador for PSU, and also a very good recruiter only limited by the same lack of $$ due to the initial alumni lack of support and Franklin's way of going about it.
