Honestly, I think Trump wants a recession, sooner rather than later. Trump wants interest rates to go down because the cost to service our debt is out of control. A mild recession will force Powell's hand.

They actually were hoping for a DEPRESSION! Talk about being desperate for power. I voted for Bill, Hillary, and Obama twice. I don't see a Dem I'd even consider voting for. I'm from a blue collar background. My Dad was an IBEW member and his dad a Teamster. The Democrat party looked out for people like them at one time. Now it's the party of billionaires, zero-restriction abortion on demand, they/them, unlimited immigration and money printing. Not much there for me. I think the Repubs are seemingly kind of heartless at times, but they still are a little more sane. Still, Trump is flawed, and would not have gotten my vote if the Dems had put forth a viable candidate. They don't know what that looks like.

Recessions shouldn't be avoided by gaming the system. They're how the economy heals itself. Sadly, we've kicked the ball down the road so many times, we've run out of road and the ball is too big to kick.

Our problem is that we stopped being capitalists and let the bureaucrats think it was their job to run the economy. Our so called public/private partnership is nothing more than Fascism in a red, white and blue dress.

He was too busy to really pay attention. He retires, starts paying attention and realizes he's been voting against his values for a long time. The public sector and teacher unions are much different than the working unions. The public and teacher unions came up through the DIE based education system, and they are true believers in the crazy **** the Democrats are pushing.
