Are you kidding me? Is he hinting that Trump pressured them to cancel the show? Give me a break.

Looking at those number, I think the reveal is in the target demographic. 2.4m viewers but only 220,000 in the key demo graphic of 18 - 49 year olds? That suggests mostly old or young people watching and I don't think it is young. So that leaves only old people. So the late night talk show is dying. At one point in my life, I'd stay up to make sure I caught the opening of Carson/Letterman/Leno/Conan. They were witty and funny. They took shots, fairly, at both sides. For the most part, they made fun of the body politic; pointing out the hypocrisy on both sides. That was before they started preaching and being partisan, telling us what we should think. It is really another outlet dominated by the left that is collapsing and that is why they are outraged. The rest can't be far behind

"Bad comedians say things to make people clap, not laugh." — Norm MacDonaldPerhaps after the show is over Colbert will learn how to be funny.
When Jon Stewart went on Colbert and made fun of the official story that COVID wasn't due to a Wuhan lab leak, it destroyed Colbert's career. It was the funniest moment ever on the Colbert show, as Stewart took over the show within three minutes of sitting down. The contrast in talent could not have been more clear. Stewart's bit exposed Colbert as a political hack, as well as a comedic hack.Perhaps after the show is over Colbert will learn how to be funny.
Bet the audience is old white women.
