New portal commits. First one in

Need some non-ISU talent at some point. With ISU, there's some talent, some bolstering a roster, and I assume, convenience. Sorry to see WR Marsh head to IU.
We are adding the best of ISU's roster in terms of current starters and young developing talent. And we've retained a lot of PSU's key players. We will add some non-ISU talent to fill gaps as well. But we have certainly had an extremely productive 1st weekend of the portal.

Penn State Football two-way commit Josiah Zayas.
Penn State Football picked up the commitment of 2026 ATH Josiah Zayas, a three-star recruit with the potential to play both wide receiver and cornerback at the next level, on Sunday, Jan. 4.
Zayas, who stands 6-foot-2, weighs 200 pounds and hails from Edison, N.J., announced the move in a post to his Instagram account. Many college players need at least a season to bulk up before seeing significant time on the field. While Zayas’ skills may need polishing, he already has the build of a college athlete.

6'4, 230. The one thing that would be helpful to know is a player's time in the 40. I like those LBs who can chase down RBs trying to get to the edge. But if getting to the hole quickly and being a sure tackler is their thing, then that's okay, too.
