Back in the Paterno era PSU we had great DL & LB play but DBs were average.

The current DBs are below average. Collins is getting killed. Safeties don't seem to know their assignments. Harris has regressed.

I wonder how much is ability vs not grasping Knowles' scheme.

During my college years, I met Ralph Baker, Ted Kwalick, Roger Stauback, Gary Klingensmith, Frank Spaziani and many more fb players. I wonder what their careers would have been with this set v of coordinators and coaches.

Whether Allar, Gronk, Brady, whoever, Franklin/Kotelnicki have provided no viable passing game. The preseason hype covered up some serious mismanagement. Kraft saw this as a businessman and fired Franklin. IMO, Kraft, the businessman, must make a home run hire. It's not Drinkwitz, Brown, or Hartline. It must be someone who can immediately bring in 8-10 top portal players and deliver a DI passing attack and defense. A three to five year "sensible" rebuild plan (i.e. "we don't want to spend too much") will not work.

Thank God for wrestling season. Did a preseason # 2 NCAA fb team ever have a losing season? It is almost guaranteed this year after today.
