Week 3: Villanova at #2 Penn State (3:30 PM Sat, FS1) Gameday Thread

Oops, didn't catch this before posting the point spread in a separate thread. 48.5 it is.

By the way, IA, I think the game is at 3:30 vice 2:30 on FS1.

PSU is favored by 48.5 according to FanDuel.

So, I've been a bit of a pariah for the past year by stating that Singleton goes down too easy.

On bwi for the entirety of last season and this season I have said it only to be attacked and have people compare his squat and 40 to Saquon.

Today I hope the coaches get his running style changed a bit. Not falling forward like a wr but instead making shifts as he goes.

I also hope, after last week, we see a third RB today.

What is Drew doing? Feels like he spent the off-season reading his press clippings with Cade Klubnik. We'll lose by about 17 to Oregon if we don't get things cleaned up.

Why is "nothing there" when Allar is throwing? Why no outlet passes? How is it that Allar can't throw? The routes and play tempo suck. Give Allar plays that work under the situation.
Maybe the receivers coach, OC, and QB whisperer work within a vacuum.

They must still be experimenting on offense or not want to show Oregon anything. Not dominant, so far.

Our D is so far above in class from Villanova that it's hard to see the Wildcats scoring...unless toward the close when the game has been decided.

Underwhelming performance on O so far. Seriously, if we can't move the ball at will against the likes of Villanova as Drew misses throws, well, what happens when we play the big boys.

I gotta say, I'm not one for pearl-clutching, but I'm concerned. For crying out loud, Villanova is a 7-TD underdog.

Nova is manning up and covering. No easy allways open Reynolds this game. Without the completions to Reynolds Allar would have had terrible stats last week.

Tennessee scored 21 in the 1st qtr vs Georgia. We scored 10 vs FIU & Villanova.

Why the long cross field out patterns on a 3rd and 5? They call the wrong plays at the wrong time IMHO. I think Kotelnicki calls plays that he draws from the Community Chest pile. They don't seem to fit the situation.
