Famous paranormal investigator dies in Gettysburg

At age 54 while on tour investigating the paranormal

Although I’m pretty open minded on a lot of paranormal/anomalous stuff ( because, frankly, we don’t know what we don’t know)….I’ll go with “correlation does not equal causation” ( until proven otherwise) on this one.

Now that's interesting. It would be helpful to know the cause of death, which apparently hasn't been disclosed...or maybe not yet determined.

It would also be helpful to know if the gentleman was exhibiting the doll itself or just doing a presentation on the subject. If he were actually traveling with it and if the object were actually cursed, having it in your hotel room would be a risky enterprise...maybe even a FAFO type of thing.

I think the word "possession" is misplaced here. Only humans can be possessed. Inanimate objects can be cursed and have evil attached to them, but this is not possession.

As it happens, we got a prayer request yesterday from a friend of our diocesan exorcist who we were told was dealing with a "very difficult case." I fully believe there is a dimension of reality outside our own physical world that is inhabited by beings both good (angels) and evil (demons).

Portals can be opened to that dimension but it is not at all wise to attempt this. And presuming to harness a manifestation of that dimension for purposes of a circus sideshow is reckless and dangerous. On the other hand, the doll story could be totally phony so there's that too.

I've got a good friend who is a fireman/paramedic. His prognostication would be some kind of heart attack brought on by some combination of drugs/sexual excitement. But that is pure speculation. My friend tells me all the time how they find people dead at the workstation, pants around their ankles and the workstation on some type of porn site.

Goodness, that's interesting information from the paramedic. Turns out porn not only kills the soul but also potentially the body.

Of course, the guy might also have had a simple heart attack without the trigger that your friend mentioned. It's known to happen at times even to people younger than the norm. Or maybe some other garden-variety physical issue could have been involved.

After all, the papers are sadly full of obituaries of people dying young.

Then there's drugs. I think almost 300 Americans a day, a majority of them in the younger set, are killed per day in that fashion.

All this said, I'd sure like to know what the official cause of death was and if that doll was in his hotel room.
