Can't disagree with that but if for whatever reason he has to miss some games then at least get him back for Oregon otherwise we have a "Ruh Rho" going on.I believe he needs to be healthy weeks before the Oregon game so that he gets a good number of targets in the OOC games and puts up some receiving numbers, getting his confidence up and getting Allar and him on the same page such that Allar is super comfortable looking his way.
To me Allar has plenty of weopons to use. the 3 transfer WRs, Denmark, Howard and a few others at WR, the TE's, and mature RB's that will also be weopons in the passing game. But Allar needs to not only get comfortable with them in practice but I believe needs to get in the habit of throwing to his diverse collection of weopons in games, including Ross.
I'm expecting Ross to be ready for the first game and get a good many targets in all the OOC games. At least in the first half of those games.
To your point, given our offensive receiving weapons, I'm fully confident we could beat Oregon without him but I don't want that to be a reality as he looks to be a key part of our WR group. The other point is that I think he is our fastest WR so our best deep threat. Those guys stretch a defense, put more pressure on a D and open things up for other guys so his presence on the field helps us even if he is not the primary option.
