I can’t stand Angel Reese as a person, but I’m going to give her a little bit of credit that she plays the game exceptionally hard. Now, she has to because she’s not very skilled, but either way she wants to win and that is what she’s paid to try and do.
As far as this expansion team goes though what happens if they get some non-lesbian white girl to be the face of the franchise? That place will be down to about 300 average attendance within three years.

You think? Women make up 51% of the population but don't care about sports very much. Women play with a ball that is smaller than the men, but their shooting percentage is lower. Analysis: They are worse shooters. They play slow and below the rim. Angel Reese misses 10 layups/game.
Any Boys AAU team would go undefeated in the WNBA and would probably win every game by 30pts. Clark brings something, but they need a Clark on each of the 13 teams. Most NBA teams have 2-3 on all 30 franchises.
I'll be honest, I hate the current NBA. ISOs and 3s is brutal. The women's game of ball movement and traditional BBall is appealing, but they don't execute very well. If they could make the open looks and convert layups at a higher percentage, it might be a more appealing product, but when a fan realizes they are watching something that is a HS boys level at best, it's tough to get excited.
Similar to the discussion on Hollywood doubling down on woke, the WNBA does not want Clark, as evidenced by the refs, her coach, and the league's lackluster PR. It's a highly subsidized operation putting out a poor product. But that's okay, as long as the "bigger message" is getting out. It's all pretending.

One of my favorite comedic lines was a comedian who said that the Washington Bullets were changing their name because they had a survey and found the franchise's name to be offensive to most people. What they got wrong was that people were offended by "Washington" and not "Bullets."
